Our Thursday Photo #71
This week, by all accounts, has been rubbish.
Losing Jamer was the worst possible start to the week on Monday. Sadly she stepped out in front of a car and died almost instantly.
Because it’s not long since Soxa died, Libby understood immediately that she wouldn’t see Jamer again. She was devastated, as we all were.
This week has also seen hubby going back to work and our lovely holiday seems like such a long time ago.
Libby has started nursery which she is loving. We get great reports on how she’s getting on and the staff are really positive. For me it’s strange not having her here.
Lia has also started to go to stay with my mum for a couple of hours at a time. Today she also quite happily waved goodbye to us and walked off with my sister today to go to my dad’s house.
This is a great improvement for Lia, who has traditionally been quite clingy. Taking her to playgroup today really made me realise how much she has changed over the summer.
The last time we went to playgroup before the summer holidays, Lia wasn’t walking or saying much. She’s now chattering away, walking around and climbing up the steps to go on the little slide. All huge developments.
For me, this week has been about trying desperately to get back into work and blogging. It’s not going particularly well.
I’m playing catch up a bit with work because I didn’t work for the first couple of weeks of the month. Getting back into blogging after a break is tough too. I need to find some inspiration over here.
I also need to find the time to read some of my favourite blogs to get me back into the swing of things.
I’ve also been doing a ridiculous diet, which has been no fun at all. I’m terrible at just eating more carefully to try to lose weight, so I thought I’d do the GM diet, which basically involves eating quite selectively for seven days.
I’ve lost 5 lbs so far since Monday but today was tough. I was supposed to be eating bananas and milk (I know, how ridiculous). But we didn’t have any bananas so I didn’t end up eating until lunch time, by which time I was famished.
So I’ve ended up eating relatively normally today, not what I was aiming for but I’m hoping I won’t put on weight. And I feel better for eating normally. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be back on the diet.
Libby is becoming increasingly protective over Lia. They still have their battles, but Libby does her best to look after her sister and it’s lovely to see.
Our Thursday photo #71 is the first I’ve taken all week of the girls, I only took it this evening. Hopefully we’ll all be back into the swing of things by next week.
