In case you were wondering, my dad is my awkward recipient. The difficult thing with him is that he genuinely doesn’t want anything. It makes sense. There’s nothing he needs, so why bother? And yet, when one of us buys him something he appreciates, he is absolutely delighted. For the newspaper, I have gone for a copy of the News Chronicle. A national newspaper from the day he was born. I won’t tell you his age but suffice to say it’s not a recent newspaper.
