Christmas Outfits From Cotton Traders [AD]

Do you wear something glamorous or smart on Christmas day or do you prefer to be comfy? Personally, I tend to go for comfort over style because we never venture far from home. As always, Cotton Traders have a lovely Christmas collection that includes clothing, gifts and home-ware. I was pleased to discover that their clothing covers all bases – it’s both smart and comfortable.

Lambswool-Rich Jumper – Crimson

This lambswool crew-neck jumper is both luxurious and warm. It comes in a variety of shades including this fabulous crimson. Unlike other lambswool garments, this is machine washable so there’s no need to worry about spilling something on it over Christmas dinner. Just pop it into the wash and wear it again. Ribbed fabric on the cuffs, neck and hem ensure that this will keep its shape however much you wear it.

Unfortunately, this is a men’s jumper so it will ultimately make its way to my husband’s wardrobe. But I do rather like it myself.

Pull-On Check Wide-Leg Trousers

I have to admit, I wasn’t sure about these before they arrived. I’m not usually one for buying smart trousers and these do look particularly smart. However, I thought they would be good for work meetings even if they weren’t particularly comfortable.

When they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. These Pull-On Check Wide-Leg Trousers are extremely comfortable. They feel a bit like putting on a pair of comfy joggers. Yet as you can see, they look really smart. I would happily pair them with boots, a smart top and a blazer or jacket to go to a meeting or even a job interview. When I used to have to wear smart clothes daily for work, they always felt a little itchy and uncomfortable. These are completely the opposite and I think they will become my go-to smart trousers.

The fabric is easy-care and the pull-on style makes them ideal for grabbing before work in the morning. An elasticated waistband ensures that if you wear these on Christmas day, there’s plenty of room for a huge lunch without feeling uncomfortable!

Cargo Jog Pants

I’m not quite sure where these Cargo Jog Pants have been all my life. The dark blue colour makes them look relatively smart despite being cargo pants. Better still, they are incredibly comfortable. I don’t have to dress extremely smartly for work and these are ideal for night shifts. They look relatively smart and feel like wearing tracksuit bottoms. I have been living in these since they arrived and fully intend to continue doing so for most of the winter because they’re really warm too.

These are made from cotton-rich jersey fabric so they’re comfortable and long-lasting. The inside is brushed cotton and this combines with an elasticated waistband and draw cord for ultimate comfort. I love the number of pockets in these trousers – the ones on the side fasten with Velcro as well which is great.
