Things to do in Herefordshire February Half Term 2026

School holidays are approaching again, so it’s time to check out all the things to do in Herefordshire during February half term 2026. Herefordshire has an abundance of beautiful National Trust properties, many of which put on events for children when schools have broken up. If you are a National Trust member, entry to those events will be free. If you’re on a budget, check out these free things to do in Herefordshire as well.

Berrington Hall National Trust

Explore an outdoor trail through Berrington Hall’s gardens. Spot the early signs of spring and enjoy the Georgian-designed landscape. Participants can follow the trail at their own pace and uncover nature’s first colours. Collect a trail from visitor reception for a fun, family-friendly way to experience the estate’s gardens as they begin to wake up after winter. A great way to get outdoors, enjoy fresh air and explore the historic grounds at your own pace as part of a National Trust visit. Things to do in Herefordshire February Half Term 2026: Courtyard Theatre Hereford

Courtyard Theatre has something a little unexpected on this February, since we would usually associate it with Christmas holidays – a pantomime! When Jack Trott sells his beloved cow, he’s swept into a magical adventure after climbing a towering beanstalk into a world of mischief and mayhem. Outsmarting a fearsome Giant and uncovering incredible riches along the way, Jack is joined by the Good Fairy, Dame Trott, Silly Billy, and a lively cast of singing, dancing villagers in this classic, fun-filled pantomime for all the family.

Croft Castle

Enjoy a fun family-friendly February half term trail at Croft Castle and Parkland, where children can dash between trees, leap over roots and peek under branches while following playful clues left behind by Croft’s wildlife. Things to do in Herefordshire February Half Term 2026: Goodrich Castle English Heritage

Goodrich Castle has not announced an event for February half term 2026, but they are open all week, from 14th to 22nd February. This is a fascinating historical castle that offers visitors a free audio guide to hear about its eventful past. Children will enjoy the free family game that features nine cartoon characters. Each one represents someone who would have lived at the castle. If you manage to climb to the top of the tower, you will enjoy views across the Wye Valley and both English and Welsh countryside.
