There are some lovely things to do in Worcestershire and the surrounding areas for October half term and Halloween 2025. All Things Wild Worcestershire October half term
I’ve found the following information regarding Autumn Fest, but I’m not totally sure if it’s about this year’s event or last year’s. All Things Wild is definitely open on the dates listed below, but it is worth checking the website if you’re visiting to see if the event is different this year.
Celebrate Autumn Fest at All Things Wild in Worcestershire this October half term. Make a scarecrow, enjoy autumnal arts and crafts and follow a trail of hidden pumpkins through the enchanted wood. Then, get cosy by the fire and toast some marshmallows. Take on woodland challenges as a team – from physical activities to puzzles all designed to bring team mates together.

Attwell Farm Park
Join in the spooky fun at Attwell Farm Park’s Halloween event, where kids can explore the farm’s autumn-themed trails, take part in frightfully fun crafts, seek out hidden ghouls around the farm, and enjoy seasonal games and treats in a family-friendly setting. Costumes are encouraged and there’s Halloween atmosphere across both indoor and outdoor areas. Perfect for a hands-on, spooky day out on the farm.
Dates: 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th and 24th to 31st October and 1st and 2nd November 2025.

Bodenham Arboretum
Visitors can enjoy a pumpkin walk at Bodenham Arboretum this October half term. Choose between a stroll during the daytime or a torch-lit pumpkin walk after dark. Venture around the big pool and farmyard, looking at the carved pumpkins. Evening tickets include a fancy dress competition, Halloween crafts, scary stories, spooky stilt-walkers and campfire cooking. Different activities take place during the daytime including crafts, afternoon tea and wilderness explorers on different dates. You’ll need to book in advance and remember to wrap up warm and dress for the weather. They encourage people to wear fancy dress, although this may need to go over your warm clothes depending on the weather.
Dates: Torchlit pumpkin walks take place from 24th to 31st October 2025 and Daytime walks from 25th October to 2nd November 2025.

Croome National Trust
Explore the magic of nature at Croome this season with a fairy-tale twist: take part in the Herbs & Hexes trail to hunt for mystical ingredients, join witch-crafting sessions to brew potions and fashion wands, or attend the ZooLab animal handling show where children can meet curious creatures like snakes, frogs and giant snails in a potion-inspired performance.

Hartlebury Castle
Embark on a Halloween adventure at Hartlebury Castle with the Spooky Skeleton Trail. Search the historic house for hidden skeletons and enjoy the Adventure Playground. Dress up in your favourite Halloween costume for added fun. The trail is £1 on its own, or included with Witch and Wizard School and craft activities for £4. Whole site admission tickets are required. Other events take place on selected dates during half term, so do check the website to see what else is on when you plan to visit.

Little Owl Farm Park
Experience a spellbinding day out at the farm with Witches and Wizards Week! Alongside meeting the animals and enjoying the play areas, visitors can join in magical fun including make-your-own chocolate apples, potion‑making classes, and a special encounter with the farm’s very own pet dragon, Smokey. It’s a ghoulishly good family adventure full of enchanting activities.

Severn Valley Railway Worcestershire October half term
Three Halloween events take place at Severn Valley Railway this October half term. Decide on the scare-level you’re after before deciding which one to book!
Autumn Half Term
All aboard for a family adventure at Severn Valley Railway this October Half Term! Enjoy a scenic journey on heritage diesel or steam-hauled trains, with complimentary ‘Eye Spy’ booklets to keep young explorers engaged. Visit The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley, where you can let off steam in the outdoor play area or get hands-on sorting mail in the travelling post office. Entry to The Engine House is free, though parking is limited—travelling by heritage train is recommended.

Ghost Trains
Embark on a 75-minute Ghost Train journey from Kidderminster to the haunted station at Arley, where eerie surprises and ghoulish characters await. Each child receives a complimentary goodie bag to add to the thrill. Expect a night of frightful fun. Tickets are limited and must be pre-booked.

Scream Train
Brace yourself for a spine-chilling adventure aboard the Scream Train at Severn Valley Railway. Departing from Kidderminster, this adults-only (18+) experience immerses you in a nightmarish journey through haunted stations and eerie landscapes. With actors, darkened carriages, and unsettling sounds, the Scream Train offers a terrifyingly immersive ride that promises to test your courage. Tickets are limited and must be pre-booked. This event is very popular and sells out quickly, so be sure to secure your tickets in advance.

Spetchley Park
This Halloween, Spetchley Park Estate invites young witches and wizards to enrol in Spetchley Wizarding School. Under the guidance of Head Wizard Professor Plume, participants will embark on a magical adventure to solve the mystery of the missing maid. Activities include potion-making, spell-casting, and ghost-hunting throughout the enchanting gardens. Sessions are available daily, with bookings required in advance. After completing the course, young wizards receive a Wizarding Super Sleuth certificate. Tickets need to be booked for specific session times.

West Midlands Safari Park Worcestershire October half term 2025
Celebrate Halloween at West Midlands Safari Park’s Spooky Spectacular with family-friendly fun. Enjoy Frankie’s Monster Mash Show, Patch & Mitzy’s Spooky Walkabouts, a Monster Mystery Trail with sweet rewards, and hands-on activities at the Crazy Craft Club. The park is transformed with spooky decorations, themed photo spots, and magical Halloween lighting for an unforgettable day out.

Witley Court Worcestershire October half term
There’s no particular event on at Witley Court this half term, but it’s a lovely place to visit and spend time outdoors as a family. Witley Court is an English Heritage property with woodland walks, formal gardens and a fascinating stately home that is completely in ruins. Not only is it an ideal destination for a family day out, but it’s dog friendly too.
