It has been one of those weeks where I’ve had lots of work on but just as many excuses to step away from the laptop. Take last night for example. I had a million and one work-related things I should have been doing. And yet what I was actually doing was arguing with a roll of washi tape. Which is probably exactly what most of the country’s parents were doing in preparation for World Book Day. I can’t believe last week was half term, it seems like we’ve been back into the routine for ages. Not long enough to be organised though of course. By the time my second child came along, I thought I knew what I was doing. My first child is outgoing, confident and eager to learn. But if there’s one thing that siblings teach you, it’s that even the closest children have such very different personalities. The dancing diva If you’ve been following my last few Thursday photo posts you’ll know that Lia has been desperate to do ballet. But when she gets to the class, she refuses to join in. With only two weeks left of their dance school half term, I was resigned to the fact that however…

Now that February has arrived, I feel suddenly very aware that it’s not all that long until the summer. This may seem like a good thing. But for somebody who might have had one too many glasses of wine and entered a half-ironman, it’s a bit of a concern. It is particularly problematic because it’s now nearly 4 years since I rode a bike. Aims for February I’m not one for bucket lists or planning what I need to achieve for the month. But this month, I really do need to get my bike serviced and start riding it. We…
