Thursday Photo #128
I couldn’t be more delighted that half term is nearly here. As of tomorrow, we’ll have a whole week with our little school girl. We were hoping to go away but true to form we didn’t get around to booking anything, so we’ll probably just have some days out around here instead.
Decorating
The other thing I desperately need to get on with is decorating the house. There’s so much to do that I honestly don’t know where to start. So I’ve decided to start by painting the girls’ room. The things that really need doing are new floors downstairs and carpets upstairs. But at the moment we can’t afford it so it makes sense to paint now rather than ruin the carpets when we finally get them.
So during half term, I’ll be taking a bit of a back step from work both to enjoy family time and do some decorating. Hopefully the house will be looking better not worse next week – wish me luck!
I’ve been rather enjoying using Instagram this week. There have been some spectacular sunsets and remembering to take a photo of them for Instagram has made me take more notice of them. I was glad I did, even mobile phone photos can look spectacular sometimes. I’ve also spotted another ultramarathon that I’d rather like to do. It’s not for a few months and I’m not entering yet but the thought of it has given me back a bit of motivation for running.
What the girls have been up to
Lia has been spending time with her dad this week, which has allowed me to get on with some work. Hopefully by next week I’ll be far enough ahead with work to be able to have some days completely away from it during half term. It’s a long time since I took a whole day off.
Libby had a super hero day at school yesterday. She went in dressed up as bat girl and while she was there, they turned an old t-shirt into a cape. She came home buzzing with excitement and couldn’t wait to tell us all about it.
Our Thursday photo this week is from superhero day. Lia went into town with her dad to help sort out a costume for Libby. Lia never really asks us for much but she really wanted a mask just like her sister. So our Thursday photo #128 is brought to you by Batgirl and Robyn.
