Thursday Photo #95
Each time I write these Thursday photo posts, I look at the number and it reminds me that I really need to make a feature of them when I reach Thursday photo #100, in just five weeks’ time.
I’d love to make a photo book celebrating 100 photos of these two cheeky little girls growing up together. It would also be brilliant to make a feature canvas with all of their Thursday photos on. And of course a blog post to show off my handiwork.
I’m also really enjoying the weekly updates in these posts. When I started blogging, one of the main reasons for doing so was to record the girls’ childhoods with both words and photographs. As it has developed, the blog has taken on a life of its own, but the Thursday photo posts have stayed true to the original theme.
This week, the highlight was our trip to Drayton Manor on Saturday. For the first time ever, I was brave enough to take the girls on my own. Having been a bit nervous about it, I ended up having a brilliant day.
It was particularly nice to spend some time with Libby. She is such a friendly, chatty little girl that whenever somebody comes with us for a day out, she happily trots off with them, going on the rides with them and chatting away while Lia stays with me.
When it was just the three of us, the girls went on all the rides together and I was able to sit either with them or behind them. They had such a good giggle in each other’s company and it was lovely spending time alone with them.
Since then, we’ve had a few nice mornings together doing their usual activities and Libby has been at nursery in the afternoons.
For me, the focus has been on work. I’m lucky that I’ve always got work available, but some of it is more time consuming than others and I’ve reached a point where I’ve got to go back to the time consuming work that I don’t really enjoy.
Luckily, I have a few things lined up for April that mean I’ll be able to go back to just working on the things I love. So even if the next few weeks are difficult, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
