Hasn’t it been lovely to have another bank holiday so soon after Easter? Everyone seems so much more relaxed with the extra days off. Definitely a case for more long weekends throughout the year, or maybe every working week should be four days long. The illness that wasn’t On Friday, I dropped two happy girls off at school and went for a run. Not long after I got home, my phone rang and the lady from the school office told me that Lia was feeling sick and needed to come home. It seemed a bit odd, there had been no…

With our school breaking up a little later than elsewhere in the UK, the Easter holidays were long awaited. What has also been long awaited is that feeling that things are getting a little easier. I caught up with friends I don’t see often enough, met new people and chatted to brands and tourist boards about some incredible destinations. I was a bit apprehensive before…

It seems the topic on everybody’s lips this week is the weather. After that deceptively glorious sunshine, it has finally returned to the much anticipated rain. Personally I’m quite pleased. Hopefully, next time the sun comes out it really will be the start of Spring and it will be here to stay a little longer. Improving Less than a year ago, Lia couldn’t swim. We took her to the pool every week and she’d refuse to take her float off, or if she didn’t have it she’d cling to me. My husband and I are both competent swimmers. In fact,…
