Our Thursday Photo #11

Well, the summer holidays are here. Whilst my children are not old enough for school, the summer holidays still have a big effect even on pre-school children. Every week, we have our little routine that Libby enjoys. Mondays are a singing group, she goes to her nan’s on a Tuesday, Wednesdays are ballet, playgroup on a Thursday, nursery on Fridays and swimming Saturday. Sundays we tend to go out as a family. The structure that we have in place is ideal for Libby because she loves all of her activities. That said, it is even more ideal for me, since tiring…

Our Thursday Photo #10

Yet again I’m posting this a day late, as we’ve had such a busy couple of days. As usual though, the photo was taken yesterday. This week, Lia has really started to interact with Libby, as she seems to recognise the voices of her dad and sister. She always smiles when she hears one of them and gives Libby lots of smiles when she comes over to say hello. I continue to feel guilty about the lack of attention that Lia gets, she spends a huge proportion of her day just watching the world go by. This shows in how absolutely…

Our Thursday Photo #9

Erm… Yeah I know, it’s Friday again. But I took the photo yesterday and forgot to post it. I’m rubbish at weekly posts. It will be worth it in the end though to have a folder full of photos of the girls together as they grow up.My major achievement for this week was that I’ve managed to get out for a run two days in a row. With a breastfeeding baby, exercising was proving difficult so it has been great to get out there and do something. Libby is doing fabulously well at using the toilet now, and Lia is…

Incredibly, Lia will be 2 months old next week. The past few weeks have gone incredibly quickly. I’m just starting my new job, Libby is rapidly recovering from her eye operation (today was the last day of eye drops) and Lia is growing incredibly quickly. So much so that we are now putting her in the baby bouncer. She is great at holding her head up now, and loves the bouncer because it allows her to stand up and look around. Lia has got to the age where she wants to know what’s going on, and loves watching Libby. They even…

Our Thursday photo #7

Well you see it’s like this… It’s not so much that I forgot to post our Thursday photo yesterday, more that I had absolutely no idea it was Thursday! Well anyway, this one makes up for it, it’s a corker! For the first time ever I’ve managed to get both girls smiling at the same time! We’ve had a great week this week, topped off by the fact that Libby has finally decided it’s time to start using the potty. Hopefully I won’t have to buy any more cloth nappies, what we’ve got would be fine for just Lia with…

Our Thursday photo #6

This week has been somewhat traumatic for us all because Libby had her eye operation yesterday. Thankfully though it went incredibly well, her eyes are looking great and she is back to her usual self now. Even when she came round from her general anaesthetic, she was as placid and cheerful as ever. She only got upset at the hospital when she finished her yoghurt and realised there wasn’t any more. As this was lunchtime and she hadn’t eaten since the previous evening, I don’t blame her!  So here is Thursday photo #6, with Libby modelling her new, straight eyes!

Our Thursday photo #5

This week’s photo is of the girls enjoying the long awaited sunshine that seems to be gracing us with its presence! Yesterday was Libby’s birthday, so we left the bouncy castle up on the decking so that she could play on it again today. Of course, baby sister had to play on it with her too!  Lia has started smiling now but I suspect it will be a good few weeks before I can manage to catch a smile on camera! so for now I’m happy to have them looking pleased to be together.
