Things to do in Shropshire Easter holidays 2026

School Easter holidays 2026 are approaching, so it’s time for a list of things to do in Shropshire. Lots of attractions have Easter events taking place this year and others are reopening after a Winter break.

From Easter egg hunts to celebrations of spring, there’s lots to see and do around Shropshire. If you’re on a budget, check out my post about free things to do in Shropshire as well.

This post covers the Shropshire area only. If you are looking for Easter days out in nearby counties, please see below:

Alderford Lake

Follow a trail around the lake solving riddles and clues and searching high and low for Easter Eggs at Alderford Lake. There’s a series of hidden letters around the route and once children have found them all, they can rearrange the letters to make a word with an Easter theme. There’s a special Easter prize for anyone who completes the challenge.

Dates: 28th March to 6th April 2026

Attingham Park (National Trust)

This year’s Easter egg hunt at Attingham Park is inspired by gameshows! Follow a family trail completing a range of activities to earn a chocolatey prize while stocks last. Trails cost £3.50 each in addition to the entry price. They include bunny ears and a trail sheet as well as a chocolate egg as a prize.

Dates: 21st March to 12th April 2026.

Blists Hill Victorian Town Shropshire Easter Holidays 2026

No event has been advertised for Easter 2026 at Blists Hill. However, the site has recently transferred ownership to the National Trust. It is confirmed to reopen on 2nd March 2026 so it should be open during the Easter holidays. Due to the reorganisation, any events may well be posted quite late this year so it’s well worth checking the website again before you visit. I have linked to the current Blists Hill website, but it that may well change in the coming weeks too. If the site isn’t showing on the link below, try searching for the location on the National Trust website.

Boscobel House English Heritage

There’s no specific event listed for Easter at Boscobel House at the time of writing, but it’s worth checking their website nearer to the time as they haven’t yet fully reopened for spring. Boscobel House will be open daily throughout the Easter holidays. Don’t forget to check out the playground and learn about the history of this house where Charles II hid during the Civil War from costumed storytellers. There’s no need to book in advance, but entry tickets are 15% cheaper when you book online.

Dates: Open daily in April 2026.

Hawkstone Park Follies Shropshire Easter Holidays 2026

At present, no event is advertised on the Hawkstone Park Follies website for the Shropshire Easter holidays 2026. However, it’s worth checking back closer to the time because they do usually put on an Easter egg hunt or something similar. I’ve linked to the website below.

Dates: Open daily from 27th March to 12th April 2026.

Park Hall Farm Countryside Experience

This year’s family-friendly Easter holiday event features fun activities alongside the farm’s animals and attractions. Highlights include The Great Egg Hunt in the Hay (with a chocolate treat for finding a coloured ball), a Golden Egg hunt for a big chocolate prize, an Easter Bunny meet-and-greet, and the farm team’s Bunny Run. The event is included with standard farm admission, which also gives access to indoor and outdoor play areas, tractor rides, a role-play village, and various educational exhibits.

Dates: 28th March to 12th April 2026.
