Berrington Hall (National Trust)

It seems like ages since any of the National Trust properties have put on a school holiday event, so it’s nice to see them back. This year, Berrington Hall in Herefordshire will again be hosting its annual easter egg hunt. Step back in time to enjoy the Georgian gardens with everything from lawn games to interesting animals and plants. Check out ten Easter-themed activity stations and complete the trail to collect your chocolate egg. The trail runs daily throughout the school Easter holidays, from 1st to 16th April 2023. Vegan and free-from alternatives to a chocolate egg are available. Full details are on the Berrington Hall website.

Brockhampton Estate (National Trust)

Brockhampton Estate is absolutely beautiful at Easter time. Nowhere else does spring quite like it. Add in the bonus of an easter egg hunt and it makes an ideal family day out. Discover the plants and animals in the orchards, looking out for blossom, wildflowers, butterflies and woodpeckers while you follow the 10 activity trail checkpoints. Enjoy natural play areas, solve puzzles and complete activities to earn your chocolate egg. Vegan and free from alternative are available. The egg hunt runs daily throughout the Herefordshire Easter Holidays 2023 from 1st to 16th April. Full details are on the Brockhampton website.

Follow a themed Easter trail around the grounds and gardens, solving puzzles at each activity station. Grab your tasty prize at the end, with vegan and free-from alternatives available. After the trail, I highly recommend having a look around the castle and heading into the beautiful woods for a walk. Children will also enjoy the natural play area and Castle play area.
