When gender stereotyping costs businesses money
Gender stereotyping. Girls wear pink, boys wear blue. Boys play with trains, girls play with dolls. Women are nurses and men are doctors. Males are strong, females are weak. Females show emotions, a real man never cries. It’s wrong, all of it. And as a society, I hope we are working on it. But it…
Murmuration of starlings UK
For the past few months, there have been some incredible photos on social media of the murmuration of starlings around the UK. So last weekend, I did some research to find out what the murmuration is all about and when and where to see it. What is the murmuration? Every day at sunset, the murmuration…
Tooth extraction: 9 tips to prepare your child
We were camping in Pembrokeshire earlier this year when I noticed Libby had an abscess on her gum. It was caused by a bump she’d had a couple of years before that led to the teeth becoming infected. Several dental appointments and one more abscess later, she needed to have both of her top, front…
When I’m a bit older
When I listen to my daughters chatting and playing together, the conversation always turns to what they will be able to do, “When I’m a bit older.” It reminds me of my own childhood and the innate yearning for all the exciting things that come with age. Hi there- sorry for your loss, take care
Thank you Sharon.x
So sorry to hear that 🙁 When our old dog Molly died we used to still hear her thumping up and down the stairs at my folks house for months afterwards. It felt like she was hanging on for us to not feel so sad. I know that sounds mental, but there’s something special about old dogs I think. Hope you’re ok xxx
Aw bless thanks Maz. Strange that you still heard Molly after she’d gone. Snoop was a great dog and we will all miss him, especially my mum as she has had him for the last few years.xx
