The pros and cons of living in Narnia [AD]
One of the things nobody warns you about before having children is the horror of tissues in the washing machine. Granted, it happens occasionally even when you only live with adults. But with children, it’s virtually every wash. In go nice, smart, dark coloured clothes. Out comes a snowstorm Mr Tumnus would be proud of….
Why you can’t trust the Guardian on Palm Oil
When I first became aware of the palm oil issue, I was pleased to see that the problems caused by the industry were regularly raised in the Guardian newspaper. But as with most things, there always comes a time when you have to take a step back and remember that you can’t believe everything you…
Dog friendly accommodation around the UK to suit every budget
For many of us, dogs are part of the family. And when you’re travelling in the UK, you want to bring them with you. But I’ve recently noticed a trend towards accommodation declaring itself dog friendly when, quite frankly, it isn’t. There are so many restrictions that unless you have one small dog that doesn’t…

Hi there- sorry for your loss, take care
Thank you Sharon.x
So sorry to hear that 🙁 When our old dog Molly died we used to still hear her thumping up and down the stairs at my folks house for months afterwards. It felt like she was hanging on for us to not feel so sad. I know that sounds mental, but there’s something special about old dogs I think. Hope you’re ok xxx
Aw bless thanks Maz. Strange that you still heard Molly after she’d gone. Snoop was a great dog and we will all miss him, especially my mum as she has had him for the last few years.xx
