Things to do in Shropshire Easter holidays 2025

School Easter holidays 2025 are approaching, so it’s time for a list of things to do in Shropshire. Lots of attractions have Easter events taking place this year and others are reopening after a Winter break.

From Easter egg hunts to celebrations of spring, there’s lots to see and do around Shropshire. If you’re on a budget, check out my post about free things to do in Shropshire as well.

This post covers the Shropshire area only. If you are looking for Easter days out in nearby counties, please see below:

Attingham Park (National Trust)

This year’s Easter egg hunt at Atitingham Park has a funfair theme. Follow the trail, taking part in fun activities as you go. Explore your surroundings and discover 10 Easter stations based on the funfair theme. The trail costs £3.50 per child on top of the entry price, and includes bunny ears, a trail sheet and a chocolate egg – vegan and free-from alternatives are available.

Completing either trail will entitle you to a chocolatey prize. In the printers’ shop, visitors can print their own personalised print. Visit during Easter weekend to take part in an egg dancing competition. There’s a prize for every participant.

Boscobel House English Heritage

There’s no specific event listed for Easter at Boscobel House at the time of writing, but it’s worth checking their website nearer to the time as they haven’t yet fully reopened for spring. Boscobel House will be open daily throughout the Easter holidays. Don’t forget to check out the playground and learn about the history of this house where Charles II hid during the Civil War from costumed storytellers. There’s no need to book in advance, but entry tickets are 15% cheaper when you book online.

Dates: Open daily in April 2025.
