Cotton Traders Winter Edit

AD: Gifted for the purpose of review

The winter edit with Alex Jones collection by Cotton Traders revolves around transitional-season layering. Ideal for the mix of crisp mornings and mild afternoons typical of autumn. It’s built around versatile outerwear like lightweight utility jackets, quilted pieces, cosy cords and oversized knits. These are paired with bolder prints like animal-print trousers for a collection that is full of surprises. Function and style combine to create outfits that move seamlessly from casual daytime into relaxed evenings.

Check blazer

This fully lined checked blazer combines warmth with tailored lines and style. I love the fact that it’s great for wearing with jeans for the pub, but it’s equally smart enough for work or a formal occasion.

With two front pockets, soft shoulder pads and buttons that fasten it at the front, the blazer is naturally flattering and stylish. Blazers are so popular at the moment, and this is a style that goes with anything and it strikes me as quite timeless as well.

I love the combination of colours that allow the blazer to pair easily with blue, beige and autumnal dark orange. This is the smoke blue, and it’s also available in deep khaki.

In autumn, this is an ideal light outer jacket. I’ve been wearing mine over a plain black top. I’ve gone for a slightly larger size than I usually would, so I can put a jumper under it as well when the weather gets chillier.

Luxury Pintuck Joggers

I’ve liked the look of pintuck joggers since they started to become popular. I’m not one for following trends, but this is one I can get on board with. Why? Because they’re as comfortable as any joggers, but they actually look pretty smart. So, they can be worn as casual clothing as well as being for sports. What a game changer.

These pintuck joggers come in three different colours – I went for the dark forest. As well as looking great, they’ve got three pockets, including a zip pocket on the back.

The pintuck styling is on the front of the leg and the waistband is elasticated with a drawstring. Better still, they’re available in two different lengths.

Tapered for shape, they can be worn with a hoody or sweatshirt for casual days, or even paired with a smart jacket to dress them up a bit. Will I be buying the other two colours as well? I think this is highly likely.
