Our Thursday Photo #37

This week, we have been getting used to the new dynamic of having two mobile children in the house. It’s just over a week since Lia started crawling now, and it really does make a big difference.  I have to be much more careful when I nip out of the room. Lia doesn’t seem to be particularly destructive, but she has a strange habit of wanting to be in things.  So far this week, I’ve found her under two tables, a piano, three chairs, a talking dog and her sister. This afternoon I found her sat on the shelf with…

Our Thursday Photo #36

Well, as usual it has been a busy week in the Plutonium Sox household. Last Friday marked the end of our fabulous holiday, so we pretended we were still on holiday over the weekend and continued in the vein of swimming every day and eating rubbish.  So, on Monday it was time to get back to reality. Hubby went back to work and I started on a bit of a health kick. Mercifully, I know my limits so I’m only being healthy on weekdays and we’re back to drinking and eating rubbish at weekends. Roll on tomorrow.  Yesterday, we had…

Our Thursday Photo #35

I’ve just sat down to write this post and looked back at last week’s Thursday photo to check what number I was up to. I can’t believe my last Thursday photo was only a week ago, we’ve had so many adventures since then.  Today, we made the most of our last full day at Bluestone. We went swimming in the Blue Lagoon then headed over to the adventure centre for soft play before lunch. After lunch, hubby took Libby to toddler sensory while Lia had a nap. Toddler sensory was just Libby’s sort of thing, playing with gym equipment and…

Our Thursday Photo #34

Happy New Year!  We started this year in the best possible way, putting Lia to bed at around 8 pm yesterday and not getting her up until 7.40 am today. This is the third time she has effectively slept through the night, but the first time she hasn’t been awake at 5 or 6 am for a feed.  We decided to go to the cinema this morning to see Paddington. We enjoyed the film and Lia behaved immaculately throughout. Libby on the other hand couldn’t bring herself to sit still and ended up dropping her popcorn on the floor. This…

Our Thursday Photo #33

Libby and Lia have both had a wonderful Christmas. Having asked for nothing but books, they have nearly 50 new books between them, as well as some book themed items and a few other things thrown in for variation. Christmas lunch was somewhat unusual, with Lia having the time of her life rubbing parsnip into her toes, while Libby made the most of the pirate themed Christmas crackers. Having been an absolute nightmare last night, Lia woke up this morning full of the joys of spring, whereas I have been feeling the effects of sleep deprivation in a big way.…
