Things to do in Herefordshire Easter holidays 2026
School Easter holidays are approaching, so it’s time for a list of things to do in Herefordshire. Lots of attractions have Easter events taking place this year and others are reopening after a Winter break.

Things to do in Herefordshire Easter holidays 2026
Berrington Hall (National Trust)
This year’s Easter trail has a Georgian theme at Berrington Hall, and there are plenty of challenges on the trail for all the family. Each stop on the trail helps to bring history to life through games and puzzles. Have a go at historical pastimes like lawn games, throwing the slipper and pancake races. Trails cost £3.50 including a trail sheet, a chocolate egg prize (free from alternatives available), and bunny ears to get everyone in the Easter spirit.

Brockhampton Estate (National Trust)
It’s time for sports day at Brockhampton for their Easter trail. Sprint, skip, hop and egg-and-spoon your way around a sports day adventure trail full of competitions, games and Easter-themed twists. Activities are designed to get families outdoors and active. Trails cost £3.50 in addition to the entry cost. This includes bunny ears, a trail sheet and a chocolate egg – vegan and free-from alternatives are available.

Croft Castle (National Trust)
This Easter, follow the lively trail around Croft Castle enjoying family activities, Easter challenges and spring surprises. There’s plenty of opportunities for children to run around, play and explore along the trail. Trails cost £3.50 in addition to the entry cost. This includes bunny ears, a trail sheet and a chocolate egg – vegan and free-from alternatives are available.

Eastnor Castle
Prepare for an Easter treasure hunt at Eastnor castle. The Easter bunny has dropped the eggs he was going to use to bake cakes. They’re scattered around the grounds of the castle and treasure-hunters need to find them. There’s a chocolate reward for everyone who takes part in the trail. Tickets for visiting Eastnor Castle this Easter are limited and need to be booked in advance. The trail is free with the cost of entry and all the usual attractions are open too, including:
- Knight’s Maze
- Obstacle course
- Adventure playground
- Woodland play area
- Lakeside walks
- Arboretum walks
- Rope swings
- Castle
Good to know: Entry is free for privilege card holders, historic house members and Blue Peter badge holders.

Goodrich Castle English Heritage
At the time of writing, there’s no event publicised at Goodrich Castle in Herefordshire for the Easter holidays 2026. However, it’s always a great family day out. Visitors can climb the ruins of the towers and explore gruesome dungeons and historic arches. See the only surviving mortar from the English Civil War, learn about the castle’s history and enjoy lunch or a snack in the English Heritage tearoom. There are also two trails to follow – the family trail and the folktale creature trail.

Newbridge Farm Park
Newbridge Farm park is now only open during school holidays. This year, there’s an Easter scavenger hunt as well as both outdoor and indoor play and pony rides on selected dates. Do check the website for dates of specific activities.
Activities include:

- Indoor and outdoor sandpits
- Haybarn with rope swings and hay bale tunnels
- Slides
- Climbing frames
- Go-karts
- Soft-play
- Ride-on tractors

Ralph Court Gardens
Throughout the school Easter Holidays, children who visit Ralph Court Gardens and take part in their quiz trail will be rewarded with a delicious Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons Easter Egg (while stocks last). Look out for the dinosaur and keeper roaming the grounds to entertain visitors. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the animatronic dinosaurs too. Remember to book in advance to make your visit extra special with a magical Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea.

Most state schools in Herefordshire have their Easter holidays from Saturday 28th March to Sunday 12th April 2026. Private schools may have different holidays.
