Things to do in Herefordshire Easter holidays 2025

School Easter holidays are approaching, so it’s time for a list of things to do in Herefordshire. Lots of attractions have Easter events taking place this year and others are reopening after a Winter break.

Things to do in Herefordshire Easter holidays 2025

Berrington Hall (National Trust)

This year’s Easter Trail at Berrington Hall promises to be full of exploration, discovery and fun – all with a Georgian Easter theme. Around the trail, there will be activities for the whole family. The trail costs £3.50 per child on top of the entry price, and includes bunny ears, a trail sheet and a chocolate egg – vegan and free-from alternatives are available.

Brockhampton Estate (National Trust)

This year’s Easter Trail at Brockhampton is themed on blossom. Complete fun and exciting activities as you explore nature while following the trail through the orchards. The trail costs £3.50 per child on top of the entry price, and includes bunny ears, a trail sheet and a chocolate egg – vegan and free-from alternatives are available.

Croft Castle (National Trust)

This year’s Easter Trail at Croft Castle is inspired by the symbolism of renewal and rebirth at Easter. The trail explores the trees, plants and birds of Croft’s grounds. The trail costs £3.50 per child on top of the entry price, and includes bunny ears, a trail sheet and a chocolate egg – vegan and free-from alternatives are available.

Eastnor Castle

This Easter, there’s a code-cracking treasure hunt at Eastnor Castle. The Easter Bunnies need visitors to help them crack the code and find the chocolate that treasure that someone has scattered around the castle and its grounds. When you’ve solved all the puzzles and uncovered the secret, there will be a chocolate reward on offer. The trail is free with the cost of entry and all the usual attractions are open too, including:

  • Knight’s Maze
  • Obstacle course
  • Adventure playground
  • Woodland play area
  • Lakeside walks
  • Arboretum walks
  • Rope swings
  • Castle

Good to know: Entry is free for privilege card holders, historic house members and Blue Peter badge holders.

Goodrich Castle English Heritage

At the time of writing, there’s no event publicised at Goodrich Castle in Herefordshire for the Easter holidays 2025. However, it’s always a great family day out. Visitors can climb the ruins of the towers and explore gruesome dungeons and historic arches. See the only surviving mortar from the Engish Civil War, learn about the castle’s history and enjoy lunch or a snack in the English Heritage tearoom.

Dates: April opening dates aren’t yet on the website so it’s worth checking whether they’re open on the day you plan to visit.

Newbridge Farm Park

Newbridge Farm park is now only open during school holidays. Opening dates for Easter holidays 2025 are not yet on the website. They usually have an Easter treasure hunt as well as both outdoor and indoor play and pony rides on selected dates.

Activities include:

  • Swings
  • Zipwire
  • Indoor and outdoor sandpits
  • Haybarn with rope swings and hay bale tunnels
  • Slides
  • Climbing frames
  • Go-karts
  • Soft-play
  • Ride-on tractors
